With the commitment to help the poor & disadvantaged people in Bangladesh who have been savagely hit by the pandemic, CCA along with the Rotary Club of Ingleburn (RCOI) undertook a program to feed some families in Bangladesh for a month.
With the generosity of members of the community, CCA managed to raise AUD $3,900 and the Rotary Club of Ingleburn donated AUD $2,500 for this great cause. Altogether, CCA raised AUD $6,400 that amounted to BDT 377,600. With this amount CCA provided essential groceries for 350 families in Bangladesh for one
month.
Each of the food hamper consisted of Rice (10kg), Cooking Oil (2L), Lentils (2kg), Sugar (2kg), Onions (2kg), Potatoes (2kg) and Salt (1kg). Special thanks to Hamed Hasan Alavy, Selim Reza, Hamida Begum, Mohaimin Islam, Mahmuda Begum, Tabita, Fardin and Rotary Club Chittagong South for their support in packing and distributing food hampers to 350 families in Charwkbazar, Roufabad Colony, Hashimpur and Sholashohor, Chattogram.
